FREADEM Faux Grass Review (2026): 5 Things to Know About Its Pet Turf and Rugs Before You Buy
As an Amazon Associate we earn from qualifying purchases.
FREADEM is a solid pick for dog owners who want a tough, fast-draining turf, as long as you know its limits.
FREADEM sells pet turf and turf rugs on Amazon. Its main pet turf uses a PE, PP and nylon blend, which is unusual at this price, with a 0.8 in pile and drainage holes. It comes in sizes from 3 × 5 ft up to 8 × 10 ft. Buyers like how it drains and how dogs take to it. A new-turf smell is the main complaint.
Verdict Best for: dog patches, pet runs and small yards where drainage and toughness matter. Skip if: you're sensitive to a rubber smell from new turf, or you need a large lawn roll. Our take: from our hands-on work with artificial grass, a nylon blend is the right call where dogs dig and turn; PE-only blades flatten and mat far sooner under paws. Every new rubber-backed roll we've handled smells at first, so airing it out for a few days before laying is worth the wait.
What does FREADEM sell?
FREADEM's range covers pet turf and rugs:
- Pet turf, 3 × 5 to 8 × 10 ft. 0.8 in pile, PE/PP/PA (nylon) blend, rubber backing with drain holes.

Which FREADEM is best for my dog? The pet turf, in the size that fits your patch or run.

Common FREADEM complaints
The complaints are predictable, and most have a simple fix.
| Complaint | Detail | The fix |
|---|---|---|
| Unpleasant smell | A common complaint is the smell when new | Unroll and air it outdoors for a few days before laying; rinse well |
| Pet odour over time | Common to all pet turf | Rinse often and use an enzyme cleaner. See our deodorizer guide |
| Short pile looks less lush | Common to 0.8 in turf | Choose it for practicality, not a lawn look |
| Less buyer feedback | Smaller listings than the big pet-turf brands | Check recent reviews before buying |
What are the problems with FREADEM? Mainly a smell when new, which airing out usually helps.
