Ottomanson Faux Grass Review (2026): 5 Things to Know About Its Turf Runners and Rugs Before You Buy
As an Amazon Associate we earn from qualifying purchases.
Ottomanson is a solid pick for porch runners, garage strips and event aisles, as long as you know its limits.
Ottomanson is a rug brand that also sells artificial grass runners and rugs. Its turf is low, practical and sold in long, narrow sizes, which suits paths, garage entries, patio borders and golf practice strips. Its Amazon turf runner is widely bought and well reviewed. It isn't lawn turf, and it isn't sold as lawn turf.
Verdict Best for: porch and patio runners, garage entry strips, event aisles, golf practice strips and kids' play corners. Skip if: you want a lawn, or a dog run that needs thick pile and infill. Our take: from our hands-on work with artificial grass at events, low, even pile like this lays flat, cuts cleanly and photographs well as an aisle or path, but up close it reads as turf carpet, so keep it for runners and accents rather than a lawn.
What does Ottomanson sell?
Ottomanson's range covers turf runners and rugs:
- Artificial turf runner and golf hitting mat. Sold in lengths from 2 ft up to 30 ft, plus a 3 × 6 ft size and packs of two. Pitched for runners, garage strips, side paths and golf practice.
- Turf rugs and runners at Walmart. Including a 22 in × 5 ft runner and 2 × 3 ft and 3 × 4 ft rugs.
- Non-turf runners. Ottomanson also sells waterproof polyester door mats and runners, which aren't grass. Check the listing before you buy.

Common Ottomanson complaints
The complaints are predictable, and most have a simple fix.
| Complaint | Detail | The fix |
|---|---|---|
| Thin turf | A common complaint is that it's thinner than expected | Use it for runners and strips, not lawns. See faux grass rugs |
| Looks like carpet up close | Common to low-pile turf | Keep it for paths, events and accents |
| Small-count listings | Some Walmart rugs have little buyer feedback, some marked incentivised | Stick to the widely reviewed runner |
| Mixed up with non-turf runners | Ottomanson sells polyester runners too | Check the listing says artificial turf |
What are the problems with Ottomanson faux grass? Mainly thinness. It's practical turf, not lawn turf. For events, see faux grass for events.
What Ottomanson buyers say by listing

| 22 in × 10 ft turf runner (Walmart, in our research) | Broadly positive across a large number of buyers |
| Smaller Walmart rugs | Positive, but from only a few buyers each |
